About Me
My Story...
My name is Jen, or some like to call me Jenny Penny. I am here to share, not only my story, but more importantly I want to share every golden nugget of wisdom and learning that always come with each experience. It hasn't been easy, I have really had to confront myself, to love myself and forgive myself. This humbling of self has made me more grounded, empowered, compassionate, resilient and capable. The sequence of events in my life have brought me to the understanding of who I am and why I am here. My desire is to inspire and connect with others and show them the way home to themselves.
I have had many challenging experiences in my life; from almost losing my mother at birth, to childhood leukaemia, 3 grandparents who passed over with dementia, another who passed of a stroke. 7 dogs that have passed. A 10+ year battle with facial spams, as well as debilitating endometriosis, 9 Hurricanes and 1 major Earthquake to top it all off.
One day, at the age of 37, I finally met the love of my life, Diego. He just made it all better, like a soft cushion to land on. Although life didn't let up at that time either, I finally had a partner who stood by my side and I for him. We quickly moved in together, traveled the world and then enjoyed our beautiful life in the Mexican Caribbean. Eventually covid hit, we were kicked out of our new home, we moved a million times and temporarily shut down our business. Diego lost 7 family members over time, including his best friend, his Dad. Throughout it all, I needed surgery. This led us on an amazing 3 month road trip across Mexico, eventually leading us to our new dream life on the Pacific coast. It was a new beginning with endless possibilities, just not any possibility that we had ever considered.
One could say that I am familiar with trauma, suffering, grief, loss, pain, sadness, anger and the whole gambit, but what came next trumped it all. 3 months after we were settling into our new home, Diego and our newly adopted pup were killed instantly when they crashed into a tree and it all went up in flames, figuratively and literally.
I share all of this with you, not because of the stories themselves, but because of who I have become because of them. To show you that you can not only survive, but you can soar. I share my life with you because I want you to know that I come to you with the most honest and open heart. I offer you a safe space to open your heart and share with me too. It is not an easy thing to do, to face all that haunts us, to open up old or new wounds. I have been so supported in my life and now it is my desire to support you. Regardless of circumstances, the connections we all share, are what allows healing for both you and me.
Losing the love of my life and all that came with it, has changed me forever and truly for the better. Diego was my everything and I I would take him and our life back in an instant, but I could never go back to being the person that I was. I am proud of who I was, don't get me wrong, but since that day, I have grown and expanded in ways beyond my wildest dreams. The day my heart was cracked into a million pieces, an awakening happened within me.
I learned very quickly that Diego and our beloved pup Chucho hadn’t gone anywhere, they simply weren’t here physically anymore. My spiritual awakening at this time and ever since, has without a doubt saved me. I have had so many synchronicities, visions, signs, guidance and teachers that showed up exactly when I needed them, that I am now ready to share all that I can with you. Although I will always have a hole in my heart and a wish that things had turned out differently, I am grateful at the same time. Grief is probably the most intimate relationship you'll ever have with yourself. It took time, but eventually I allowed myself to see the light that I am. Little by little, death after death of many egoic versions of myself, the truth of who I am continues to emerge daily. My unraveling has brought me home to myself, to the understanding of the Spirit that I am, what that means, and why I am here. I am here to learn, to experience and grow. I am here to offer my gifts, teachings, tools and skills to support others. I am resilient, fierce and raw, all at the same time, but I am so much more than this human version of me. I am spirit, I am light, I am energy, I am love, I am awareness, I am limitless, and so are you.
If I had to choose one word, to tell you what I am here to offer you, it is support.
